The Cedar Rapids Sizzlers added another chapter to their storied legacy by winning the Iowa Senior Games title for the fourth straight year, completing the tournament held June 6‑7 at Valley High School in West Des Moines.

The squad turned in a defensive masterclass, limiting three opponents to just 96 points while cruising through the bracket to claim the top seed. Their 96‑point total marks a new low for the competition and broke the previous record of three consecutive titles set between 2013 and 2015.
Key moments included a hard‑fought overtime victory over the Lady of Norwalk and a decisive win over the Indianola Pacemakers in the quarterfinals. The team also survived a close contest with the Late Bloomers of Norway, Iowa, before sealing the championship.
