A Coaching Journey Rooted in the Tar Heel State
Brittany Morris stepped onto the NC State women's basketball staff before the 2021‑22 season, taking on the role of assistant coach. Her appointment marked a homecoming for a Raleigh native eager to contribute to the Wolfpack's resurgence.
Morris's basketball pedigree traces back to Seton Hall, where she earned four-year letterwinner status and led the team in scoring during the 2012‑13 campaign. Her performances earned Second Team All‑Big East honors and academic recognition on the Big East All‑Academic Team and Dean's List.
From Player to Coach
After graduating with a bachelor's degree from Seton Hall, Morris pursued a master's at NC State while beginning her coaching trajectory. She started as a video coordinator at Virginia Tech, then served as a graduate assistant for the Wolfpack before moving to ECU and UNCW, where she acted as recruiting coordinator and helped assemble top‑ranked classes.
Coach Moore, who oversees the program, has highlighted Morris's blend of coaching skill, recruiting savvy and unwavering dedication to players. Her diverse experiences across multiple programs equip her to mentor the next generation of Wolfpack athletes.
Beyond the court, Morris holds a master's degree from NC State and remains deeply connected to the Raleigh community. Her journey reflects a commitment to both athletic excellence and academic achievement, positioning her as a key architect of the team's future.
