The University of Maine’s football program has opened the sale of season tickets for the 2026 campaign, giving fans the chance to lock in seats for every game from the first road test in Towson to the final home showdown against the UNH Wildcats.
Season Opener and Early Home Games
The Black Bears will begin the year on August 27 at Towson, Maryland, before returning to Orono for their first home game on September 12 against Merrimack, New Hampshire. That contest, part of the Orono Festival and Cub Club Day, is presented by Bangor Savings Bank and kicks off at 5 p.m.
A week later, on October 3, Maine will host Sacred Heart in Connecticut. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff and doubles as Family & Friends weekend and Military Appreciation Day, with General Dynamics Bath Iron Works serving as the presenting sponsor.
After a bye week on October 10, the Bears travel to face Bryant in Rhode Island on October 17 before welcoming Campbell to Alfond Stadium on October 24 for Homecoming. The regular season wraps up on November 21 with a home game against the UNH Wildcats, also slated for a 1 p.m. start.
Supporting the Program
Donations to the football program play a crucial role in enhancing competitiveness, funding nutrition plans, equipment upgrades and travel expenses. The Alfond Football Challenge, a 1:1 matching grant from the Harold Alfond Foundation, amplifies each contribution, effectively doubling the impact for the team’s resources.
Getting Your Tickets
Season tickets can be purchased online or by calling 207‑581‑BEAR. Single‑game tickets will become available later in the summer, providing additional flexibility for fans who prefer a more limited commitment.
