A community hub for soccer and youth development
A new public soccer hub has opened its gates in the Gulfton neighborhood of Houston, bringing two professionally‑crafted mini pitches to the community.
The facility, branded as the Visa Street Soccer Park, is accessible to anyone at no cost, offering a safe space for youth and families to play and train.
Managed by the nonprofit Houston reVision, the park will host a schedule of clinics, tournaments and coaching sessions, as well as referee‑training programs.
Charles Rotramel, chief executive of Houston reVision, said the venue represents something unprecedented in the city, noting that “there’s nothing like this park in Houston.”
The design of the pitches draws on a specific German footprint, blending European standards with local needs to create a space that feels both modern and welcoming.
Earlier this week, ABC13’s Localish team toured the site, witnessing firsthand the impact the park is already having on young athletes.
