A Recruiting Boost for the Spartans
Michigan State announced that Drew Aagesen, a highly touted defensive lineman from Goodrich, will set foot on the East Lansing campus on June 5 for an official visit, a milestone that underscores the program’s aggressive push in the 2027 recruiting cycle.
Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 275 pounds, Aagesen combines size with athleticism that has earned him a three-star rating and a ranking of No. 136 among defensive linemen nationally, as well as the 24th spot in his home state.
A Prospect with Growing Momentum
The visit comes after the Spartans joined a growing list of suitors that includes Pitt, Wisconsin, Virginia, Iowa State, Boston College and the University of Minnesota, each of which has extended scholarship offers to the prospect.
Coaches view Aagesen as a potential anchor for the defensive line, and his itinerary — scheduled alongside official trips to Pitt, Virginia and Iowa State — reflects a strategic effort to evaluate the player from multiple angles before a final decision.
Looking Ahead
If the visit proves successful, Michigan State could solidify a class that already boasts several top-tier prospects, reinforcing the program’s reputation as a destination for in-state talent seeking both academic and athletic excellence.
