A Summer Tradition Returns to the Court
From June 22 through June 24, Pelham High School’s boys basketball team will run its annual youth camp, offering a structured schedule from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day in the school gymnasium.
The camp costs $125 per participant and will be overseen by head coach Greg Dickinson together with players from the varsity and junior varsity squads. Instruction will cover shooting, dribbling, defensive fundamentals and game‑situational drills, with campers rotating through one‑on‑one, three‑on‑three and five‑on‑five formats.
The program culminates with a winner‑take‑all tournament on the final day, giving participants a chance to showcase the skills they have honed. Organizers note that last year’s edition welcomed more than 150 campers from across Pelham, underscoring its popularity.
Beyond basketball, the camp fosters community ties. Youngsters will meet the players they will eventually cheer for during the season, while the high school athletes gain a meaningful opportunity to give back to the neighborhood that supports them.
