The Alabama Sports Writers Association has released its 2026 All‑State baseball teams, recognizing the best players and coaches across each classification and celebrating the state’s championship successes.
Championship Sweep Highlights 4A, 2A, 1A Titles
Westbrook Christian completed a sweep of Bibb County to capture the Class 4A crown, while Ariton and Hubbertville each swept their series to win the Class 2A and Class 1A championships respectively.
In the higher divisions, Hewitt‑Trussville secured the Class 7A title, Hartselle repeated as Class 6A champions, and Faith Academy took the Class 5A championship, underscoring dominant performances across the board.
Player and Coach Honors
Will Adams of Hoover was named Class 7A Player of the Year, Kamrin Jenkins from Bob Jones earned Hitter of the Year, Jace Riggan of Hewitt‑Trussville was selected Pitcher of the Year, and Jeff Mauldin was honored as Coach of the Year.
Asher Doepel from Hartselle received Class 6A Player of the Year, Jonah Inman from Cullman was named Hitter of the Year, Evan Malone from Northridge earned Pitcher of the Year, and Will Smith from Spain Park took Coach of the Year.
Hunter Elmore from American Christian was selected Class 5A Player of the Year, Levi Martin from Sardis earned Hitter of the Year, Christian Freeman from Faith‑Mobile was named Pitcher of the Year, and Chris Heaps from Briarwood was recognized as Coach of the Year.
The remaining awardees include Garrett Reid of Deshler (Class 4A Player), Brodie Johnson and Emmett Daniel of Westbrook Christian (Hitter and Pitcher), Ricky Ray Clayton (Coach), Gavin Lang of Collinsville (Class 3A Player), Jordan Lankford of Geraldine (Hitter), Cooper Favors of Glenwood (Pitcher), and Tim Fanning (Coach). Additional recognitions span Class 2A and Class 1A, with Addison Senn of Ariton, Cooper Abernathy of Lindsay Lane, Beau Willis of Mars Hill Bible, Donovan Hand of Red Bay, Ethan Jones of Fayetteville, Sawyer Sullivan of Leroy, Caleb Conn of Appalachian, and Adam Brand of Hubbertville receiving top honors. Finally, Boston Brown and JB Upton of Lakeside were named AISA Player and Hitter of the Year, Brayden Hennigan of Southern Academy earned Pitcher of the Year, and Justin Chandler of Edgewood was selected Coach of the Year.
