The Alabama Sports Writers Association has unveiled its All‑State baseball teams for the 2025‑26 academic year, recognizing top performers across the state’s classifications.
The selections, which include first‑team, second‑team and honorable‑mention honorees, were compiled in partnership with the Alabama High School Athletic Association and the Alabama Independent School Association.
Awards ceremony at the ASWA convention
At the upcoming ASWA convention, the association will also present the prestigious Mr. Baseball award, the Miss Softball honor and the Super All‑State selections, adding a ceremonial highlight to the celebration.
This year’s award recipients span a range of classifications, from Class 7A to Class 1A, as well as the AISA division, reflecting the breadth of talent across Alabama’s high school baseball landscape.
Class 7A honors
In Class 7A, Will Adams of Hoover was named Player of the Year, while Jace Riggan from Hewitt‑Trussville earned Pitcher of the Year and Kamrin Jenkins of Bob Jones took the Hitter of the Year. Coach Jeff Mauldin of Hewitt‑Trussville was recognized as the Class 7A Coach of the Year.
Class 6A and below
Similar honors were bestowed in the lower classifications, with Asher Doepel of Hartselle receiving Class 6A Player of the Year, Evan Malone of Northridge named Pitcher of the Year, and Jonah Inman of Cullman selected as Hitter of the Year. Coach Will Smith of Spain Park earned the Class 6A Coach of the Year accolade.
The pattern continued through Classes 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A, where athletes such as Hunter Elmore of American Christian, Christian Freeman of Faith‑Mobile, and Levi Martin of Sardis were celebrated for their respective achievements. Each class also featured a Coach of the Year, highlighting leadership across the state.
AISA division
The AISA division also saw its own set of awardees, with Boston Brown of Lakeside named Player of the Year, Brayden Hennigan of Southern Academy taking Pitcher of the Year, and JB Upton of Lakeside honored as Hitter of the Year. Justin Chandler of Edgewood was recognized as the AISA Coach of the Year.
The comprehensive list of honorees underscores the depth of high school baseball talent in Alabama, and the ASWA’s commitment to celebrating excellence both on the field and in the coaching staff.
