Keller Daughtery, a three‑star power forward from Lee's Summit, Missouri, has officially pledged to the Iowa Hawkeyes, locking in the 2027 recruiting class with a commitment that signals a new infusion of talent for the program.
A Versatile Threat
At 6‑foot‑10, Daughtery combines a rare blend of size, shooting range and athletic ability, traits that align perfectly with coach Ben McCollum’s up‑tempo, spacing‑focused offense.
During his junior season he posted averages of 14.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game, numbers that helped him climb to the No. 8 ranking among Missouri prospects and the No. 153 spot nationally in the 2027 class.
The Hawkeyes secured his signature over a slate of suitors that included Oklahoma, Colorado State, Drake, Kansas City and Iona, making Daughtery the first verbal commitment for Iowa’s upcoming class.
Looking Ahead
McCollum emphasized that Daughtery’s skill set will allow the Hawkeyes to stretch defenses and create mismatches, a strategic advantage as the team aims to compete at the top of the Big Ten. The commitment also underscores Iowa’s growing appeal to elite talent in the Midwest.
