A Weather‑Driven Schedule Shift
NASCAR announced that Sunday’s Cup Series event at Pocono Raceway will now start at 1 p.m. Eastern, an hour earlier than originally scheduled, as a precaution against inclement weather forecast for the afternoon.
The adjustment was coordinated with series partners Amazon Prime Video, the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM Radio, which will carry a live broadcast of the race. The change aims to give fans the chance to watch the entire competition without interruption.
Pre‑race programming on Amazon Prime Video is set to begin at noon, offering analysis, driver interviews and behind‑the‑scenes footage before the green flag drops.
Venue officials confirmed that parking lot openings at 6 a.m. and gate access at 8 a.m. will remain unchanged, ensuring that attendees can arrive and settle in as planned.
The move follows last year’s race, which was delayed by two hours before Chase Briscoe claimed victory, adding a layer of anticipation for this weekend’s competition.
