The Lynnville‑Sully baseball squad erupted for five runs in the opening three innings, cruising to a 5‑4 win over Albia on Tuesday.

Early offensive burst

JD Richards anchored the rally with a .529 average, contributing two hits, a run, two steals and an RBI. His 17 runs, 10 RBIs and 23 total bases lead the team, while Ethan Dunsbergen added two hits and two steals.

Trace Carlson, Carsen Kottenstette and Brody Borg each supplied hits, with Kottenstette doubling and driving in a run. Ashton Rozendaal also chipped in a hit and an RBI.

Pitching performance

Starter Bowlin earned the win, allowing just one earned run on four hits while walking four in five innings. Reliever Olea shut the door, striking out seven over four scoreless frames and dropping his ERA to .70.
