A Milestone Season for Nebraska Baseball
Carson Jasa, the Nebraska right-hander, was recently named a third-team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings, a distinction that underscores his dominance on the mound this spring.
Jasa finished the season with a 10-2 record, a 3.59 earned run average and 117 strikeouts across 87.2 innings, numbers that place him among the most effective pitchers in the Big Ten.
His 10 victories mark the first time a Husker has reached double-digit wins in a season since Johnny Dorn in 2007, a milestone that has resonated strongly with the university's fan base.
Beyond the win column, Jasa earned first-team All-Big Ten honors and paired with shortstop Dylan Carey to capture All-Central Region accolades from the same award bodies, a testament to his all-around impact.
The recognition adds to a growing list of achievements for the program under head coach Will Bolt, who now counts Jasa as the sixth All-American player he has coached, joining Spencer Schwellenbach, Max Anderson, Brice Matthews and Brett Sears among the standouts.
Jasa's rise also reflects the broader reach of the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings, organizations that continue to shape collegiate baseball narratives across the country, with roots in institutions like the University of Nebraska and historic venues in Thornton, Colorado.
