Ranked No. 59 in the USA TODAY Florida Network Top 100, Sapp's ascent began as a freshman who broke into the varsity lineup unexpectedly, eventually mastering both tight end and defensive end before honing his passion for the defensive line.
During his junior season he posted 75 tackles and 13 sacks, earning an invitation to Trench Academy's 5-on-5 competition that pitted him against the country's elite talent, an experience that accelerated his development and visibility.
