Texas Christian University has added a significant piece to its 2027 recruiting class with the verbal commitment of Colton Steed, a 6‑foot‑7 offensive lineman from Round Rock.
Steed, who measures an impressive 80‑inch wingspan, announced his decision after an official visit to Fort Worth, citing the program’s vision and coaching staff as key factors.
The Horned Frogs beat out competition from North Texas, UTSA, New Mexico and New Mexico State, all of which had offered the Texas prospect.
Steed becomes the third offensive lineman to pledge to TCU, joining Ty Greene and Alexander Herrera, and marks the eleventh overall recruit in the class.
