The Alabama Sports Writers Association honored the state's top high school baseball talent at its 2026 summer conference held on the campus of Jacksonville State University.
Will Adams of Hoover emerged as the centerpiece of the ceremony, being named Mr. Baseball for the 2026 season after a .489 batting average that included 13 home runs, 46 hits and 52 runs batted in.

The accolades also extended to Asher Doepel, Hunter Elmore, Garrett Reid, Gavin Lang, Addison Senn, Ethan Jones and Boston Brown, each recognized for their exceptional contributions on the diamond.
Last year's champion, Steele Hall, was drafted in the first round of the 2025 MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds and now competes with the club's Rookie Affiliate, the ACL Reds, as he continues his professional development.
The 2026 awards underscore a deep well of talent across Alabama, signaling a promising future for the sport at both the collegiate and professional levels.
