A community rally on the field
K'Von Wallace, a cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens, returned to his hometown of Henrico County to lead the fifth edition of his youth football camp at Highland Springs High School, the very field where his own athletic journey began.
The three‑day event attracted hundreds of young athletes who took part in drills, conditioning exercises and skill sessions guided by Wallace and a cadre of former teammates.
Beyond the gridiron, participants enjoyed a complimentary haircut after the workouts, a small gesture that underscored the camp’s focus on holistic development and personal pride.
Wallace was presented with the Heart of a Springer Award by Highland Springs Athletic Director Harry Lee Daniel, recognizing his sustained commitment to giving back to the community that shaped him.
Joining Wallace on the sidelines were alumni Juwan Carter, Malcolm Greene, Ali Jennings and Da'Mond Harmon, each lending their experience to mentor the next generation of players.
In remarks to the crowd, Wallace highlighted the importance of community support, stating that investing in youth is an investment in the future of the neighborhood he calls home.
