The Kansas sports association unveiled its Class 3A All‑State baseball squad this week, recognizing standout performers from high schools across the state.
Player of the Year and Pitching Honors
Max Evans of Russell/Victoria earned the top player honor, while Girard’s Kam Smith secured his second consecutive pitcher of the year award.
Bob Fornelli, also from Girard, was celebrated as the state’s coach of the year after guiding his team to a strong season.
First‑team selections included Cheney’s Reece Tolar, Hunter Cox and Kaden Eck, while Ellinwood’s Cohen Gunn and Banks Jacobs made the second team.
Additional second‑team members from Haven, Southeast of Saline and Smoky Valley were Brogan Wray, Kayson Bertrand, Tiernan Ptacek and Ty Heitschmidt.
