Prospects Gather for Annual Showcase
The 2026 Prep Baseball Dakotas Top Prospect Games took place on June 2, 2026, bringing together more than 60 of the region’s most promising high school players in front of a crowd of 18 college programs.
The showcase, held in the heart of the Midwest, highlighted the depth of talent across both North Dakota and South Dakota, with scouts from a wide array of institutions evaluating each arm and bat.
Bryson Prussman’s Breakout Performance
Among the standout athletes was Bryson Prussman, a 6‑foot‑2, 179‑pound right‑handed pitcher and outfielder from Tea, South Dakota, who captured the attention of coaches with his projectable frame and versatile skill set.
Prussman, a member of the Class of 2027 at Tea Area High School, plays for the Sanford Sports Academy 18u Red squad and is noted for his right‑handed hitting and throwing.
Coaches praised his combination of velocity on the mound and solid offensive instincts, marking him as one of the most intriguing uncommitted prospects in the region.
The event underscored the growing pipeline of talent from the Dakotas, a trend that continues to draw increasing interest from collegiate programs seeking to bolster their rosters with Midwest gems.
