Youth Football Clinic Celebrates Community Spirit
On May 31, the 19th Annual LMHS Co-ed Youth Football Clinic took place at Arnold Field in Narberth, Pennsylvania, drawing a lively crowd of young athletes and families. The event was organized under the guidance of Coach Joe Augustine, LM Varsity Head Coach, and his varsity players, who designed and ran a series of drills and plays tailored to develop fundamental skills.
Beyond skill development, the clinic served a charitable purpose, raising funds for the Dr. Joseph W. Foote Memorial Award. This year's recipient, Jacky Dong, was recognized during a brief ceremony that highlighted his dedication to the sport and his academic achievements.
The Lower Merion Township Scholarship Fund (LMTSF), established in 1964, has long supported post‑secondary education for graduates of Lower Merion and Harriton High Schools. The organization relies on community events like this clinic to sustain its scholarship programs and expand opportunities for local students.
The clinic also showcased advanced football gear and training techniques, attracting more local athletes eager to experience high‑level instruction. Participants benefitted from the latest equipment provided through sponsorships, underscoring the event's growing impact on the region's youth sports landscape.
