Markus Ruck, a forward for the Medicine Hat Tigers, has emerged as the most prolific scorer in the Canadian Hockey League this season, tallying 108 points in 68 games.
His twin brother Liam, a right‑shot winger, sits just behind him in the rankings and the pair were both finalists for the WHL Player of the Year award, with Markus taking home the Bob Clarke Trophy as the league’s top scorer.
The duo’s performance was on full display at the NHL Combine, where Markus capped the tournament with an overtime winner and added 13 points in 15 playoff games, underscoring his ability to thrive under pressure.
Central Scouting has placed Markus 23rd among all North American skaters and Liam 20th, reflecting expectations that both will be among the top picks in the 2026 draft.
A Shared Vision
Both brothers have repeatedly voiced a desire to continue their partnership at the next level, citing their chemistry and ‘sneaky’ plays as a competitive edge, and they plan to return to Medicine Hat for the 2026‑27 season to sharpen their game before the draft.
