Caroline Harvey, a 22‑year‑old forward from Pelham, New Hampshire, has emerged as the headline name heading into the Professional Women’s Hockey League draft in Detroit, where she is widely projected as the No. 1 overall selection.
Scouts cite a rare combination of elite skating speed, playmaking vision and a proven ability to deliver in high‑pressure moments as the foundation for that projection.
From NCAA Champion to Olympic MVP
Her résumé includes a third NCAA championship with her college team and a tournament‑most‑valuable‑player award in her senior season, followed by an Olympic gold medal with the United States in Milan‑Cortina, where she was named tournament MVP despite a modest statistical line.
Harvey’s journey to that moment was anything but linear. After a promising youth career she relocated to Rochester, New York, to attend the BK Selects academy, then postponed her first collegiate season to make her Olympic debut at the 2022 Beijing Games.
