The Lancaster Gales softball and baseball squads capped off unforgettable seasons that will be remembered for years in Ohio high school sports.
Under the guidance of Coach Corey Conn, the softball team fought its way to the state championship game, while the baseball team secured the Ohio Capital Conference‑Buckeye Division title.
State Championship and Division Triumphs
The softball Lady Gales fell just short of the ultimate prize, but their run to the championship game underscored the program’s rising prominence. Meanwhile, the baseball Gales clinched the OCC‑Buckeye Division championship, finishing the season atop the league.
Individual honors poured in as senior standouts earned statewide recognition. Kendall Brown was selected first‑team All‑OCC and earned first‑team All‑Ohio honors, while Brody Broeckel was named Co‑Player of the Year in the OCC‑Buckeye Division.

Scholar‑Athlete Excellence
The league also celebrated academic excellence, naming Hannah Smith the OCC Scholar‑Athlete award winner for softball and Levi Greiner the same accolade for baseball, highlighting the balance of athletics and scholarship.
Beyond the headline names, the roster featured a host of talented athletes including Hailey Rings, Mia Griggs, Kileigh Rohr, JoJo Sheets, Lana Prince, Brayden Montgomery, Carson Miller, Kam Griffith, Jack Pompey and Coleson Ross, all contributing to the teams’ depth and success.
