A Strategic Addition for the Hawks

Huntingdon College has named Zach Hinton as its new Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach, a move that underscores the program’s commitment to strengthening its recruiting pipeline and on‑court development.

Hinton arrives after a series of progressive roles at Hampden‑Sydney College, William Peace University and Bridgewater College, where he honed his abilities in scouting, film analysis, and coordinating official visits.

During his tenure at William Peace University, Hinton contributed to the team’s first conference championship appearance and helped secure the recruitment of Ryan Lominack, the 2024 USA South Rookie of the Year.

His experience also includes leading social media initiatives at Bridgewater College and serving as a graduate assistant at Randolph College, where he earned both a Bachelor’s degree in 2020 and a Master’s in Coaching and Sports Leadership in 2021.

Looking Ahead

Expressing enthusiasm about the new position, Hinton said he is eager to contribute to the Hawks’ success and to help shape the next generation of student‑athletes. His diverse background, spanning Virginia, North Carolina and the broader United States, equips him with a national perspective that aligns with Huntingdon’s ambitions.
