The final Morris/Sussex Top 10 rankings reveal a tapestry of achievements that have defined the 2026 high school baseball season, with several programs reaching milestones that had eluded them for years.
Mount Olive celebrated its first Morris County Tournament title in 35 years, a triumph that capped an unbeaten stretch in the NJAC American division and underscored the team’s resurgence under coach Kyle Murphy.
West Morris added another chapter to its recent dominance by securing a second consecutive sectional championship, also capturing the NJAC National division crown and finishing the year with a perfect 11‑0 record in division play.
Delbarton, meanwhile, claimed its first state championship since 2019, finishing the season with a 17‑1 record and an 11‑0 mark in the NJAC American division, a performance that left the team atop the final rankings.
Other notable stories included Lenape Valley’s first division title in twelve years, Morris Knolls extending its streak to five straight seasons with fifteen or more wins, and Chatham breaking into the twenty‑win plateau for the first time in recent memory.
Vernon’s run to the North 1, Group 2 semifinal and Madison’s return to a sectional final for the first time since 2019 further illustrated the depth of competition across the region.
