NASCAR fans will soon witness a historic chapter as the series brings its All-Star weekend to Dover Motor Speedway for the first time.
The three-day festival kicks off on May 15 with practice and qualifying sessions, continues on May 16 with a full slate of support races, and culminates on May 17 with the headline All-Star race.
A weekend of firsts
For the first time in series history the Truck Series will run a points-paying event at Dover, giving drivers an early chance to score championship points on a short track.
The following day, the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series will stage its traditional weekend program, featuring practice, qualifying and a 200-lap race that serves as a warm-up for the main event.
The All-Star showdown
On May 17 the All-Star race will take place at noon, starting with 36 cars and shrinking the field to 25 competitors before the final stage.
The climax is a 200-lap sprint that will include roughly 69.4% of the usual field size, a unique twist designed to heighten competition and fan engagement.
Beyond the on-track drama, the event carries a $1 million prize pool and offers stage points that can influence the season narrative, marking a blend of tradition and innovation for the sport.
