Seven student-athletes from Indiana University of Pennsylvania have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, a distinction that highlights both scholarly dedication and competitive excellence.
To earn the honor, each athlete must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 while competing in at least 70% of their team's contests, underscoring the rigorous standards set by the organization.
A Legacy of Performance
Among the honorees, senior Guillermo Salazar stands out for his distinguished golf career, having earned three All-PSAC selections and finished runner-up at the PSAC Championships. He logged 120 rounds for the Crimson Hawks with a career scoring average of 74.42.
Juniors Celeste Pagliaroli and Sydney Schmouder, alongside sophomore Mia Gerick, were pivotal in guiding the field hockey squad back to the PSAC Tournament in 2025, with Pagliaroli and Schmouder starting all 16 matches.
The women's lacrosse team also made a notable return to the PSAC Tournament, marking their first appearance since 2023, while Alexi Crosby earned her first All-PSAC accolade and Devon Nee started every game of the 2026 campaign.
Rachel Knight capped her career as one of the program's most decorated defenders, rounding out a group that exemplifies the balance of athletic achievement and academic rigor.
The Academic All-District recognition not only celebrates these student-athletes' current accomplishments but also positions them as candidates for the broader CSC Academic All-America awards, a next step that many hope to achieve.
