Abram Sherrin’s Unlikely Journey: From 22‑Sibling Household to Arizona Baseball Star

Adopted into a large, close‑knit family, the Liberty High School standout prepares for college baseball at the University of Arizona

A Family of 22 Shapes a Pitcher’s Path

Abram Sherrin, a dynamic two‑way baseball player from Liberty High School, has drawn attention not only for his skill on the mound and at the plate but also for the extraordinary family that raised him.

Adopted by James and Lorraine Sherrin when he was just one year old, Sherrin grew up in a household that swelled to 22 siblings, sixteen of them adopted, creating a lively and unpredictable environment.

His biological mother, Aundrea Jarred, overcame addiction and now works full time, while his parents are described as tremendous human beings who built a support structure rooted in strong moral values.

Roots of Resilience

The chaotic yet joyful atmosphere of his upbringing has taught him composure and accountability, traits he brings to every game and to his role as a leader among teammates.

Coach Chris Raymond recalls spotting Sherrin’s maturity and skill early, noting a quiet confidence that sets him apart.

Now preparing to attend the University of Arizona, a two‑hour drive from his Peoria home, Sherrin reflects on the love and support that gave him a second chance at life.
