Among the invitees, Mississippi State’s senior slugger Ace Reese stands out as the program’s only current player selected, a testament to his breakout performance this season.

Reese posted a .336 average, smashing 24 home runs while driving in 74 runs and scoring 73 times, numbers that placed him 21st on MLB.com’s prospect list.
His achievement places him alongside Mississippi State legends such as Rafael Palmeiro and Will Clark, who each logged consecutive 20‑home‑run seasons, and it could make him the first position player from the school drafted in the first round since Justin Foscue in 2020.
The Bulldogs also saw eight recruits earn invitations, highlighted by catcher Will Brick, a Memphis native ranked No. 51 overall, who joins a cohort that includes Martin Shelar, Wilson Andersen, Denton Lord, Landon Brown, Jacob Carbaugh, Rocco Maniscalco and Noah Danza.
