A Two‑Way Phenomenon
Michael Teasley, a recent graduate of Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, has been recognized as one of the state’s top baseball talents after earning All‑Region 2 honors from the Tennessee Baseball Report.
On the mound he finished the season 11‑0 with a 1.17 ERA and 154 strikeouts, while at the plate he batted .414, underscoring his dual‑threat value for the Wildcats.
His performance earned him First‑Team All‑District 4‑4A honors, the Pitcher of the Year award, and a second consecutive selection as Class 4A Tennessee Mr. Baseball by the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association.
Teasley also received All‑State recognition from the Tennessee Sports Writers Association and was named District 3‑4A Player of the Year as a junior in 2025.
He helped lead Oak Ridge to consecutive appearances in the TSSAA Class 4A state tournament, capping a four‑year career that established him as a program legend.
Commitment to the University of Tennessee
Having verbally committed in October 2024, Teasley signed his national letter of intent on January 28, 2024, choosing the University of Tennessee over other suitors.
Coaches at Tennessee praised his poise on the mound and his bat‑speed, projecting him as a cornerstone for the Volunteers’ future rotations and lineups.
