The 2026 MLB Draft Combine will convene in Phoenix, Arizona, bringing together some of the nation’s most promising baseball talent, and a notable contingent hails from the University of Tennessee.
Scouting Spotlight: Invitations and Rankings
Four current Volunteers have earned invitations, including right‑handed pitchers Tegan Kuhns and Bo Rhudy, third baseman Henry Ford, and versatile outfielder/catcher Garrett Wright.
The invite list also showcases the incoming 2026 signing class, with pitcher/outfielder Jared Grindlinger, outfielder Trevor Condon and pitcher/shortstop Cole Koeninger among the standouts.
Rankings from MLB Pipeline place Kuhns at No. 24 among all prospects, while Grindlinger tops the Tennessee recruiting group at No. 18 and is projected to be selected within the first 20 picks.
The draft itself will unfold in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on July 11‑12, giving the invited players a high‑profile stage to impress scouts before the official selections.
