The Maine High School Baseball and Softball Coaches’ Associations have unveiled the pool of finalists for the prestigious Miss Maine Softball and Mr. Maine Baseball awards, recognizing the standout athletes who guided their squads to regional championship contests.

Award Finalists Overview

Thirteen candidates are in the running for the Miss Maine Softball honor, while nine pitchers and hitters vie for the Mr. Maine Baseball title, each having led their respective teams through intense playoff journeys across the state.

The awards ceremony will take place at St. Joseph's College in Standish on June 23 and 24, where the winners will be celebrated before an audience of coaches, families and media representatives.

Softball contests are slated to begin at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on June 24, followed by baseball games at 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on June 23, offering a packed schedule of high‑level competition.

Among the finalists, Lauren Veino of Penobscot Valley High, Natalie Fournier from Old Town, Hailey Lamontagne of Cheverus, Nikole Turnbull of Dirigo, and Chloe Bennett of Buckfield are among the players who have earned regional crowns and now contend for the statewide accolade.

The list also includes athletes such as Kyeria Morse, Maddie Fitzgerald, Payton Fazzina, Ashley Shores, Hannah Webber, Addison Caiazzo, Natalie Stanwood, Jillian Severance, Parker Morin, Alex Allain, Hudson Iacuessa, Trot Moody, Denny Martin, Colin Sullivan, Jackson Barry, Brady Gaw and Calvin Richardson, each representing a different school and classification.

Organizers say the event underscores the growing talent pool in Maine high school sports and provides a platform to highlight the achievements of these young competitors on a broader stage.
