MVP Camila Chamorro leads a roster of standout players from the Shore Conference season

Shore Sports Insider has released its 2026 All‑Shore girls flag football teams, concluding a season that saw dozens of standout athletes push the Shore Conference to new heights.

MVP honors

Camila Chamorro, a sophomore from Barnegat, was crowned the Shore Sports Insider Most Valuable Player after amassing 3,203 passing yards, 43 touchdowns and just two interceptions, while also rushing for 586 yards and three scores and recording 29 flag pulls on defense.

The recognition follows a season in which Chamorro’s combination of arm strength, decision‑making and defensive hustle set a new benchmark for the league.

Other award winners

Cam Czwakiel, a senior from Middletown South, earned the 2025 Shore Conference Player of the Year after posting 2,095 passing yards and 26 touchdowns, complemented by 1,147 rushing yards and nine rushing scores.

Freshman Julia Giangregorio from Barnegat was named Shore Sports Insider Freshman of the Year after collecting 36 catches for 703 yards and nine touchdowns, while Keely Gifford, a junior from Central, threw for 1,113 yards and 17 touchdowns and added 829 rushing yards and 11 scores.

Maddie Rigney, a senior from Trinity Hall, led the conference with 63 receptions for 826 yards and 14 touchdowns, and Daryn Heal, a freshman from Colts Neck, topped the rushing charts with 1,055 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Syrah Holmes, a sophomore from Barnegat, was selected Offensive Player of the Year after tallying 1,031 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns on 52 catches, while Olubusayo Ajao, a junior from Central, led the league with 22 sacks.

Defensive standouts were also recognized; Jayla Kline, a senior from Pinelands, earned Defensive Player of the Year after posting 79 tackles, 17 sacks, 10 tackles for a loss and three interceptions, and Lana Ellington, a junior from Neptune, finished with six interceptions, four of which she returned for touchdowns.

Ayva Reid, a senior from Middletown North, contributed eight picks, one of which she turned into a touchdown, while Sonia DeRosa, a sophomore from Trinity Hall, threw for 2,093 yards and 31 touchdowns and added a league‑leading 11 interceptions on defense.

The full roster of awardees reflects the depth of talent across the Shore Conference, with players from Barnegat, Middletown South, Colts Neck, Central, Pinelands, Neptune and several private schools receiving honors.
