Keenan Oxford, a former standout at Fruita Monument High School, has been recognized as an NJCAA All-American following a breakout season with the Lamar Running Lopes.
The honor comes after he smashed 22 home runs, placing him among the nation’s top 25 hitters, a feat that underscores his raw power and consistency at the plate.
The mental edge
Beyond the numbers, Oxford has spoken repeatedly about the mental side of baseball, insisting that dominance begins in the mind and that preparation is as crucial as physical talent.
Now, the young slugger is set to continue his career at Lubbock Christian University, a Division II program renowned for its competitive edge in the Lone Star Conference.
Lubbock Christian’s reputation as a Texas baseball powerhouse adds a new chapter to Oxford’s journey, one that will test his abilities against a higher level of play and further refine his approach.
The move also ties him to a network of alumni and coaches who have shaped the program’s recent successes, positioning him to contribute immediately and aim for championship contention.
