Four‑star quarterback Andre Adams has officially pledged to play for the Colorado Buffaloes, joining a program led by Coach Deion Sanders. The commitment, made in April 2024, came after a series of conversations that convinced the Tennessee standout that Boulder offered the right blend of competition and personal connection.
At Antioch High School, Adams has already cemented his reputation as a playmaker. He guided the team to a 10‑2 finish in 2025, throwing for more than 4,200 yards and 48 touchdowns while also contributing 855 rushing yards and 13 scores. His dual‑threat production earned him All‑State and All‑Region honors and placed him at No. 7 among Tennessee prospects and No. 15 nationally among quarterbacks.
The recruit said he first met Sanders in April and quickly felt a comfortable rapport. ‘Coach Prime has a vision, and I see myself fitting into it,’ Adams explained, adding that rumors about Sanders’ possible departure have not altered his choice.
A Promise Amid Uncertainty
Beyond personal stats, Adams is turning his attention to mentorship. He is spending the offseason helping new teammates acclimate to the Buffaloes’ playbook, a task he says will be crucial as the Bears open the 2026 TSSAA season on Aug. 21 at Mt. Juliet.
Even as speculation swirls around the future of Coach Sanders, Adams remains steadfast. ‘I’m focused on the work we have ahead,’ he said, emphasizing that his commitment is about more than a headline and is rooted in a genuine belief in the program’s direction.
