A Fresh Face in the Tight End Room
Cooper Alexander, a former Iowa State Cyclone, is set to join the Penn State Nittany Lions for the 2026 season, bringing his talents to a program that recently welcomed him after a stint as a redshirt sophomore who sat out the 2024 campaign.
During the 2025 season Alexander appeared in eleven games, recording five receptions for 47 yards while continuing to develop under the guidance of head coach Matt Campbell and his staff, who made the move from Ames to State College alongside him.
The tight end room will feature Alexander alongside fellow Cyclones Ben Brahmer and Gabe Burkle, a trio that could reshape the offensive dynamics in University Park.
Alexander arrives with a strong academic record, having earned Academic All‑Big 12 honors during his first year of eligibility, a testament to his commitment both on the field and in the classroom.
Recruited as a three‑star prospect out of Oklahoma, he was ranked as the sixth‑best player in his high school class, a pedigree that adds depth to Penn State’s recruiting narrative.
