A new era for Vermont basketball
Sarah Roy has just taken the helm of the Vermont Basketball Coaches Association as its new president, a move that underscores the organization’s confidence in her decades‑long dedication to the sport.
Roy’s reputation rests on a stellar coaching record that includes a 110‑17 win‑loss tally from 2021 through 2026, two Division II state titles in 2021 and 2023, and consecutive recognitions as VBCA Division II Girls Coach of the Year in 2023 and 2025.
Beyond the sidelines, she has shaped the next generation through the Kingdom Storm AAU program she founded two decades ago and now directs the Legacy Basketball Camp, while also serving as the Student Engagement Coordinator at North Country Union High School.
A graduate of Lyndon State College with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Teacher Education, Roy blends academic insight with practical mentorship, positioning her to champion student‑athlete development across Vermont.
