Selection committees, drawing on statistics, coach votes and championship results, compiled a roster that reflects both individual brilliance and team success across the region.
Record‑Setting Performances
Among the honorees, Hana Allen of Glenbard West stands out as a three‑time All‑State selection and the school’s Female Athlete of the Year, a testament to her consistency and impact.
Anna Bigenwald from Lyons posted a defensive masterpiece, allowing just 11 goals while posting 12 shutouts in 20 appearances, anchoring a backline that conceded rarely.
Kelsey Clousing of Wheaton Warrenville South rewrote her program’s record books for goals, assists and points, finishing the season with numbers that will be referenced for years.
Other standouts include Brynn Diedrich of Hinsdale South, who also set career marks in multiple categories, and Jordan Ebner from York, who tallied 20 goals and seven assists as a three‑year starter.
Annie Fitzgerald earned the East Suburban Catholic Conference Player of the Year honor, while Gabby Gjeldum in net for Hinsdale Central posted seven shutouts and a microscopic 0.5 goals‑against average.
The award list also shines a light on forwards such as Gabriela Kuruc of Lemont, who was named South Suburban Conference Blue Division Player of the Year, and Mia Schilf from Timothy Christian, who contributed 19 goals and 16 assists.
Lorraine Surina of St. Francis added 21 goals and four assists, and Madison Weil of Lemont rounded out the attack with 25 goals and 26 assists, underscoring the depth of talent across the suburbs.
