Wisconsin’s men’s basketball team is set to open its preseason with an exhibition contest against UW‑Green Bay on October 15 at the Resch Center in Green Bay. The Badgers bring a storied 27‑1 regular‑season edge over UW‑Green Bay, a statistic that underscores the competitiveness of the matchup and adds extra intrigue for the limited crowd expected at the Resch Center.
Beyond the basketball showdown, the university is leveraging the event to give fans across northeastern Wisconsin a series of high‑profile experiences. A football clash against Notre Dame will take place at Lambeau Field on September 6, while a spring volleyball exhibition was held on April 18, expanding the slate of live sports for local supporters.
The basketball schedule also features a much‑anticipated in‑state rivalry game against Marquette on December 5, followed by a road test against Auburn in Nashville on December 19. The Badgers will also resume a two‑game series with Villanova in Philadelphia, continuing a tradition of challenging top‑tier opponents.
International exposure is on the horizon as well. CBS Sports analyst Jon Rothstein reported that Wisconsin will compete in the Baha Mar Hoops Championship in Nassau, Bahamas, adding a global dimension to the team’s itinerary.
