A New Chapter for Ndogo
Baye Ndogo, a 6‑foot‑9 forward from the small town of Mboro in Senegal, has officially pledged to the University of Pittsburgh’s men’s basketball program, bringing a blend of size, skill, and international experience to the Panthers.
After three seasons at Georgia Tech, where he logged 12.6 points and 8.5 rebounds per game and earned All‑ACC Third Team and ACC All‑Freshman Team honors, Ndogo will enter his senior year with one year of eligibility remaining.
His most recent campaign saw him start every game, posting a season‑high 27 points against No. 16 North Carolina and recording five double‑digit rebounding performances, underscoring his growth into a reliable inside presence.
Beyond the college hardwood, Ndogo represented Senegal at the 2021 FIBA U19 World Cup, averaging 7.9 points and six rebounds, and he was rated as a four‑star recruit out of high school, having honed his game at Putnam Science Academy, the Darrow School and Denver High School.
A Reunion in Pittsburgh
Coach Jeff Capel highlighted the chemistry between Ndogo, George and Souare, noting that the trio’s familiarity could accelerate the team’s development and add depth to the frontcourt.
Ndogo’s commitment marks a significant recruiting win for Pitt as it looks to bolster its roster for the 2026‑27 season, and fans can expect to see a player who combines a strong work ethic with a proven track record of double‑digit scoring and rebounding.
