Anthony Warchuck’s Breakout Season Catches College Eyes

A Cranbrook junior leverages exposure camps and a strong network to draw offers from Division I programs

Cranbrook’s Rising Star

At Cranbrook, a private school in Michigan, junior wide receiver Anthony Warchuck has put up numbers that turn heads: 52 receptions, 1,450 yards and 18 touchdowns in the 2025 season.

What makes his story remarkable is the timing. Because Cranbrook is not a nationally recognized football powerhouse, college scouts have been slow to notice him, leaving him three years behind the typical recruiting curve.

Coach Marcus Green, who leads the Cranes, has taken matters into his own hands, staging the school’s first Sunrise Showcase to put Warchuck in front of college coaches and using his own network to open doors.

The effort paid off when Calvin University extended an offer during the event, and Long Island University has also signaled interest, while other programs such as Lafayette College and Northern Illinois have kept tabs on the athlete.

Beyond the gridiron, Warchuck boasts personal bests of 11.34 seconds in the 100‑meter dash and 23.69 seconds in the 200‑meter dash, and he has dominated the Catholic League for three straight years, earning MVP honors at several 7‑on‑7 tournaments.

Green believes that Warchuck’s rise could do more than just attract recruits; it could help grow the entire Cranbrook football program, giving the school a new platform to showcase talent.

What’s Next?

In his senior year, Warchuck says he wants to prove he belongs among the nation’s top prospects, using the exposure he’s gaining to force bigger programs to take notice.
