Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska, is preparing for a full reseating initiative ahead of the 2027‑28 Nebraska men's basketball season. The move comes as the athletics department seeks to address soaring demand and increasingly competitive renewal rates for season tickets.
Why the change matters
Fans have long faced challenges securing desirable seats or upgrading their locations, prompting the department to rethink how priority seating is allocated. High demand has made the current system increasingly difficult to navigate for many supporters.
In response, Nebraska Athletics plans to re‑evaluate all priority seating contributions across the venue. Specific values for contributions will be disclosed in spring 2027, outlining how fans can earn better access based on their level of support.
How the reseating will work
All current Nebraska men's basketball season‑ticket holders will be automatically enrolled in the 2027‑28 reseating process. Those without season tickets will have the opportunity to opt in after the conclusion of the 2026‑27 season, with enrollment opening online.
The entire process will be conducted through an online platform that assigns appointment times as the reseating date approaches. Seating and parking selections, as well as postseason ticket allocations and other benefits, will be managed using the Huskers Athletic Fund ranking system.
Scope of the redesign
Courtside and club seating will be part of the reseating, ensuring that high‑value experiences remain accessible. However, suites and loge boxes will be excluded from the upcoming changes, focusing the redesign on the broader fan base.
Additional instructions on how to opt in will be provided after the 2026‑27 season ends, giving fans a clear pathway to participate. The athletics department emphasizes that the new system aims to create a more transparent and equitable seating experience for all supporters.
