The University of Texas Longhorns women's basketball program has released its 2026‑27 schedule, confirming a slate that blends home‑court familiarity with a rigorous road test across the SEC.
Season opener and conference structure
Season opener is set for Dec. 31, and television details will be announced in the coming weeks.
Each SEC team will play eight home games and eight away games, plus one rotating opponent that varies each year.
In Austin, the Longhorns will host Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M.
On the road, Texas will travel to face Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Oklahoma and Texas A&M.
Texas A&M is the only opponent the Longhorns will meet twice during the conference schedule, adding an extra layer of intensity to the season.
The Longhorns closed the previous campaign with a 13‑3 conference record, leaving them well positioned to contend for another SEC title.
Tournament ambitions
The 2027 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament will be held at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina, from March 3‑7.
The event will bring together the conference’s top teams, and the Longhorns aim to capture the championship while securing a strong seed for the NCAA tournament.
With the schedule now set, the coaching staff and players can focus on preparation, knowing each matchup will shape their postseason destiny.
