A former middle school teacher from Wisconsin was taken into custody this week after investigators discovered he had entered a youth hockey team’s locker room without permission.
Adam Teal, 35, had been a sixth‑grade instructor at Franklin Middle School in Janesville before he was dismissed in October 2025 following earlier allegations of child‑pornography possession.
Court records show that a judge reduced his bail from $100,000 to $10,000 on March 18, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 22, with a calendar call set for July 27 in the child‑exploitation case.
Pattern of Misconduct
In an online conversation with a special agent posing as a father, Teal expressed interest in illicit content and shared a photograph of one of his students, according to prosecutors.
The investigation also uncovered a separate incident in which he allegedly shared an image of his naked wife in the shower without her consent, and he was first arrested in early September for capturing an intimate representation without consent.
Authorities say the latest charges stem from a pattern of voyeuristic behavior that began with the September arrest and has continued despite his dismissal from the school district.
