A Strategic Addition
North Dakota women's basketball is set to welcome a new face for the upcoming 2026‑27 campaign, as head coach Dennis Hutter announced the signing of transfer forward Juliana Haddad.
Haddad, a 5‑10 forward hailing from Espoo, Finland, arrives after a stint with Northern Illinois and a recent season at Eastern Florida State College, bringing a blend of size, skill and international exposure.
International Pedigree
Her basketball journey includes representing Finland at the 2019 FIBA Women's U16 and 2022 FIBA Women's U18 European Championships, as well as a stint at the 2018 Jr. NBA World Championship in Orlando where she helped Europe claim a title.
Prior to that, she spent the 2024‑25 season at Eastern Florida State, logging 16 appearances and continuing to develop her game against strong collegiate competition.
Coach's Vision
Coach Hutter described Haddad as a welcomed addition who will bring high‑level basketball experience to the team, emphasizing that her background on the world stage aligns perfectly with the program’s ambitions. The coaching staff believes her versatility and work ethic will complement the existing roster and provide depth as the Fighting Hawks aim to contend in the Summit League.
