Former St. Thomas More Stars Give Back with Youth Football Camps

NFL players Dalen Cambre and Jack Bech bring community clinics to Louisiana and Nevada

Youngsville and St. Thomas More Welcome NFL Alumni for Youth Camps

The summer calendar for Louisiana football fans is shaping up with two former Ragin' Cajuns standouts giving back to the communities that cheered them on. Dalen Cambre, now a New York Giants safety, will run his first youth camp in Youngsville on June 19, while Jack Bech, a Las Vegas Raiders tight end, follows up with his own clinic at St. Thomas More on June 20.

Cambre's camp is open to boys and girls aged 8 through 18 and will feature current Ragin' Cajuns players who will help run drills and share insights from the college game. The session promises hands‑on training, position‑specific work and the chance to learn from a player who helped the Cajuns to a memorable senior season.

Bech's camp, held on the St. Thomas More campus the next day, targets younger athletes between 7 and 13. In addition to on‑field instruction, participants can purchase $25 raffle tickets for a chance at signed memorabilia and other prizes. The event underscores Bech's commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent in his home state.

Both players have taken winding paths to the NFL. Bech began his collegiate career at LSU before transferring to TCU, where he emerged as a senior standout with 62 receptions for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns in 2024. He was selected in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Raiders. Cambre, though undrafted, earned a spot on the Giants' 53‑man roster after a college career that saw him appear in 63 games, record 10 catches for 123 yards and contribute 17 tackles as a key special‑teams player.

The camps are more than just football drills; they are a chance for the alumni to model the discipline, work ethic and community spirit that defined their own journeys. By bringing professional-level coaching to Youngsville and St. Thomas More, Cambre and Bech hope to inspire local kids to chase their own gridiron dreams while reinforcing the strong ties that bind Louisiana's football heritage.
