The Jackson Sun unveiled its 2026 All-West Tennessee boys soccer squads this week, spotlighting the region’s most influential players and the coaches who guided them.
Player of the Year: Braulio Marquez
Braulio Marquez of Crockett County was crowned the 2026 All-West Tennessee Boys Soccer Player of the Year after a season that saw him net four goals and supply 12 assists, helping the Cougars clinch the District 13-AA championship with a 13-3-1 record.
Richard Addo of South Gibson finished with 14 goals and seven assists despite missing seven matches for basketball, while Christopher Cerda added 15 goals, including a strike in the Class AA state quarterfinal loss to Elizabethton.
Deuce Davenport of USJ contributed 21 goals and 12 assists for the 11-win Bruins, and Alijha Madwah of Madison Magnet recorded 16 goals and nine assists, earning Region 7-A Most Valuable Player honors.
Chris Sanchez from Jackson Central-Merry tallied 17 goals and five assists, capturing the District 14-A Most Valuable Player award, and Dilvay Santos of Madison Magnet added 12 goals and nine assists, earning all-district recognition.
Rebel Blackwell of South Gibson was named District 13-AA defensive MVP after contributing five goals and six assists, while Eduardo Zuniga of Jackson North Side helped the Indians post ten shutouts, securing the District 12-AA defender of the year title.
Kooper McFarland of South Gibson allowed just 19 goals with an 87% save rate, earning the District 13-AA Goalie of the Year distinction.
Coach of the Year: Ethan Ellis
Ethan Ellis of South Gibson was honored as Coach of the Year, steering his team to a 17-4-2 record and a berth in the Class AA state tournament, highlighted by a 2-1 quarterfinal victory over Signal Mountain.
The comprehensive list, which also features standout midfielders and defenders from schools across West Tennessee, underscores the depth of talent emerging in the region’s high school soccer programs.
