Conference Wins Mark Momentum for PCM
The Heart of Iowa Conference saw the PCM Mustangs sweep Greene County on Tuesday, with the softball team posting a 10‑5 victory and the baseball side a 9‑3 win.
Tori Lindsay and Libby Winters each recorded their 100th career hit, underscoring a milestone that also saw Lindsay cross the 100‑run threshold.
In the softball contest, pitcher Camden Webb threw all seven innings, surrendering six hits and five runs while striking out ten batters. The lineup contributed six RBIs from Lindsay and Kyra Naeve, complemented by hits from Ryan DeVore, Libby Winters and Lilian Knapp.
The baseball game featured Izaac Bagby earning the win after four innings that yielded three hits and three runs, paired with five strikeouts. Landon Siedlecki went 4‑for‑4 with three doubles and two RBI, while Coby DeRaad, Alex Wendt, Bode Blackburn and Jensson Hood added single hits.
Both squads now look ahead to their next challenges: the softball team will host Gilbert tonight, while the baseball team travels to face Eddyville‑Blakesburg‑Fremont later this evening.
