The recent Northern Shores Conference baseball awards underscored the pivotal role of starting pitchers, with several teams relying on ace arms to secure top placements.

Pitching Excellence Drives Conference Honors

Harbor Springs' Nick Lemieur emerged as a standout, posting a 0.948 ERA and striking out 63 batters across the season, a performance that helped the Rams dominate the conference.

Joining Lemieur on the mound, Ben McShannock delivered a 1.75 ERA while batting .420, and Ryan Novak contributed a 2.43 ERA alongside 19 RBIs, illustrating the depth of the Harbor Springs rotation.

Boyne City's Anderson Ward also impressed with a 1.82 ERA and 54 strikeouts, while Brayden Joyce recorded a 2.56 ERA and 29 strikeouts, reinforcing the conference's competitive pitching landscape.
