Five Lake Hamilton Wolves girls soccer players were celebrated with postseason honors after a standout 2026 campaign, highlighting the program’s growing depth and talent.
Joselyn Diaz earned a place on both the all‑state squad and the West All‑Star team, a testament to her consistent excellence on the field.
Guadalupe Quiroz also received recognition, securing a spot on the all‑star team that highlighted the Wolves’ defensive prowess.
Three rising seniors—Monica Patino, Mayra Cornona, and April Arvizu—were selected to the all‑conference team for the 5A South division. Patino, a versatile defender who can influence the attack, was praised for her communication and chemistry with teammates. Cornona’s ability to read the game and articulate strategies on the back line complemented Patino’s offensive contributions. Arvizu, known for her aggressive style and relentless pursuit of the ball, added a dynamic edge to the defensive unit.
Head coach Lynn Strong lauded Diaz for her leadership and soccer skills, noting that the trio’s defensive cohesion has been a cornerstone of the team’s success.
Strong emphasized that the Wolves will return eight seniors next season, including the three all‑conference honorees, and that the group has been training together since seventh grade, often leading their own summer practices.
