A Bold Non‑Conference Slate
UNCW has released its 2026 men's soccer schedule, a 16‑game slate that blends home‑field advantage with a demanding non‑conference lineup. The announcement comes as the program looks to build on recent successes and test itself against elite competition.
Among the highlights are six contests against teams that reached the NCAA Tournament a year ago, including a showdown with Southern Conference champion Furman, a matchup versus St. John's, and meetings with Atlantic Coast Conference powerhouses Clemson and NC State.
The schedule also features home‑and‑home series with four fellow Coastal Athletic Association South Division rivals, ensuring familiar rivalries and a chance to sharpen conference play.
Preseason action will see the Seahawks travel to face Duke on August 8 before hosting a friendly against Charlotte on August 14, giving the squad a chance to fine‑tune tactics before the official start.
Regular‑season play kicks off on August 20 at UMBC, then moves to the home opener against Georgia Southern. From there, the team will begin CAA competition against Elon on September 5, setting the tone for the conference campaign.
Seven of the 16 games will be played at UNCW Soccer Stadium, giving the fan base ample opportunity to support the team in Wilmington. The stadium will host key battles, including the home‑and‑home series with CAA opponents.
Returning midfielder Aidan Heaney is listed among the players who will feature in the upcoming season, adding experience to a roster eager to make a deep tournament run.
